David institutes aggressive trial and appellate advocacy. David's fearless approach to his clients' matters has led to countless cases being dismissed before trial as well.

He has devoted his career to representing individuals charged with a wide variety of crimes as well as administrative and civil matters with fraud or criminal overtones. Over the years, he has successfully helped thousands of people charged with criminal offenses in both federal and state courts. David has been actively involved in all stages of the defense of these matters, from preliminary investigation, through grand jury proceedings, to trial. Mr. Silldorf manages the criminal defense and civil rights departments at the Law Offices of David R. Silldorf, APC. Our firm exists to help people successfully deal with serious legal challenges. Attorney David Silldorf has been designated by the Federal U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California as an experienced criminal practitioner qualified to handle appointments arising under the Criminal Justice Act. The firm's close proximity to the international border has a strong influence on David's caseload. He regularly represents individuals charged with drug trafficking and alien smuggling offenses as well as drug related federal conspiracy cases and other offenses involving firearms.
In addition to his work in the courtroom, David regularly gives back to his community where he is actively involved in bar associations and trial attorney organizations. He has also served as an adjunct professor, mock trial team coach, and been invited to lecture to industry and legal groups. He is an active member of the San Diego Criminal Defense Lawyers Club, and a former board member for the San Diego Criminal Defense Bar Association where he advocated for local initiatives within the criminal justice system as well as provided his colleagues and fellow practitioners with continuing legal education opportunities. David is also a former member and contributor to the San Diego Lawyers Club, the San Diego Federal Bar Association and the Inns of Court, Welsh Inn.
David graduated from California Western School of Law with honors in criminal defense practice. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston University summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with an independent concentration in Philosophy, Law, and Ethics. From 2008-2012, he was an associate trial attorney with a local criminal defense firm before he began his criminal defense practice.
