Sydney J. Rusch

Sydney is an associate trial attorney with the Law Offices of David R. Silldorf and is passionate about defending the rights of others. She joined our office in December 2021 as a certified law clerk and got hands-on experience working with clients on bond and in custody, drafting motions, appearing in court, and successfully fighting for our client’s innocence at trial. Sydney graduated from California Western School of Law and began as a full-time associate in December 2022.

Sydney focused her interest in criminal law during school. She interned at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office for two years and participated in the criminal law association on campus. She was also a clinical intern for the Community Law Project and helped provide legal assistance for indigent clients throughout San Diego. She received the Pro Bono Honors Society Gold Award, Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services, and the California Western School of Law Certificate of Distinction for her hours of volunteer work during law school.

Sydney is grateful to be in a position that allows her to continue helping those in the San Diego community defend their rights against the government and navigate the legal system. She is licensed to practice law in both the state of California and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Sydney firmly believes that everybody has the right to an adequate defense and is dedicated to providing the highest level of legal representation possible for our clients, no matter the charges they may face.
